Vilim Vasata

Vilim Vasata (* 1930 in Zagreb ; † July 8, 2016 ) was a Croatian entrepreneur , advertiser and author .

Vasata co-founded the German BBDO spin-off together with Günther Gahren and Jürgen Scholz . He was also the initiator, founding member and first President of the German Art Directors Club and President of the General Association of Advertising Agencies . He taught at the University of Essen as a professor for communication design . Vasata was born in 1995 with the Dr. Kurt Neven DuMont Medal and was elected as one of the first twelve important personalities of the German advertising industry into the Hall of Fame of German Advertising in 2001.
