features
Staehelina petiolata is a shrub that reaches heights of 50 to 100 centimeters. The leaves are 50 to 80 millimeters long, broadly ovate or ovate, blunt or blunt, with entire margins and silk-haired on the underside. The petiole is 35 to 55 millimeters long. The inflorescence is 15 to 20 millimeters in size and oblong-cylindrical. The crown is pink. Both ovaries and fruits are bare and 4 millimeters in size. The pappus is 15 millimeters tall.
The flowering period extends from June to August.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 34.
Occurrence
Staehelina petiolata is endemic to Crete . The species grows in limestone crevices at altitudes from 0 to 1450 meters.
