Jogen (Heian period)

Jōgen ( Japanese 貞元 ) is a Japanese era ( Nengō ) from August 976 to December 978 according to the Gregorian calendar . The previous era name is Ten'en , the following era is called Tengen . The era falls during the reign of Emperor ( Tennō ) En'yū .

The first day of the Jogen era corresponds to August 11, 976, the last day was December 30, 978. The Jogen era lasted three years or 872 days.
