Jūratė Galinaitytė

Jūratė Galinaitytė (born March 4, 1940 in Lithuania ) is a Lithuanian lawyer , lawyer , criminologist , professor at the Mykolas Romer University (MRU) and politician of the city of Vilnius .

Life

After graduating from middle school, she completed the Diploma in Law and November 1969 doctorate it in Soviet Russia in criminal law and criminology on "Kova su nepilnamečių vykdomomis atvirosiomis vagystėmis ir plėšimais" (candidate of the Law) and his habilitation September 1988 on "Legal socialization of Young workers: problems and solutions ”(“ Jaunų darbininkų teisinė socializacija: problemos ir sprendimai ”).

She worked at the Lietuvos teisės akademija and Mykolas-Romer University in the chair of criminology. Since 1999 she has been a lawyer in her own law firm. From 1995 to 1997, from 1997 to 2000, from 2000 to 2003 (as a member of LDDP ) she was a member of the Vilnius City Council .

Since 2001 she has been a member of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania .

She is married; with husband Kęstutis Petras they have the son Marius.
