The Yamal gas connection pipeline (JAGAL) is a pipeline in eastern Germany.

JAGAL connects the JAMAL European pipeline with Gascade's natural gas network in Germany. The Russian natural gas coming from Poland is taken over at the Mallnow compressor station ( 52 ° 26 ′ 34 ″ N, 14 ° 28 ′ 27 ″ E (East Brandenburg)) and fed into the German long-distance gas network. JAGAL crosses the federal states of Brandenburg , Saxony-Anhalt , Saxony and Thuringia and, with its annual transport capacity of 28 billion cubic meters, makes an important contribution to the trans-European pipeline network:

The JAGAL runs over 336 km from the Polish border via Mallnow and Baruth ( 52 ° 4 ′ 39 ″ N, 13 ° 32 ′ 22 ″ E ) ( OPAL ) in a south-westerly direction to Rückersdorf (Thuringia) ( 50 ° 48 ′ 52 ″ N, 12 ° 14 ′ 0 ″ E ) near Gera, where she has met STEGAL since 1999 .

An archaeological route investigation was carried out in advance of the laying of the pipes.
