The JA Musik GmbH is a group of companies producing musical instruments. Its brands include Meinl Weston, Melton, Hans Hoyer, B&S, Scherzer and VMI.
history
The company is headquartered in Markneukirchen in Vogtland . In 1991 Gerhard A. Meinl brought Wenzel Meinl GmbH into the TA Triumph-Adler AG group and started the IMM music group there. This was later renamed TA Musik Gruppe. Soon afterwards the former VEB brass and signal instrument factory was taken over and integrated into the parent company Vogtlandische Musikinstrumentenfabrik (VMI). From 1994 to 1995 the SML Strasser-Marigaux Paris, the Marigaux SCS in La Courture-Boussey and the Antoine Courtois were acquired. In February 2002 the group expanded to include Sternberg Kft. (SHM) in Hungary.
In 1994 JA Musik opened a plant for brass instruments. The production nucleus of the group is VMI, which mainly produces serial step-up instruments and takes over the parts supply for the WMM and AC.
In August 2001 TA Triumph-Adler AG handed over the TA Musik to the group leader, Gerhard A. Meinl. The group was then renamed JA Musik Gruppe. The group of companies is the world market leader in tubas and oboes .

The Wenzel Meinl GmbH is a manufacturer of musical instruments based in Geretsried . Wenzel Meinl and Antoine Courtois produce professional instruments. Marigaux SCS produces oboes. SML Strasser-Marigaux SAS is a wholesaler for small instruments in France and Sternberg Kft. Carries out finishing work for them on behalf of VMI.
In 1810 Johann Langhammer, brass instruments and harmonica, founded a company that manufactured musical instruments. The Meinls family married into this family. During the two world wars, Wenzel Meinl, Anton Meinl's father, founded a wholesale company in Klingenthal in the Vogtland. Wenzel Meinl GmbH is founded in 1947. Today the company manufactures hunting musical instruments and brass instruments.
