Joseph John W Peters , or alternatively JJ Peters (born June 23, 1982 ) is an Australian rock musician. He was the drummer in the metalcore band I Killed the Prom Queen between 2000 and 2007 and between 2011 and 2013 . In 2007, during the break from I Killed the Prom Queen, he founded the hardcore punk project Deez Nuts , which has since become his main band.

With I Killed the Prom Queen he released two albums, as well as two EPs, a split CD (with Parkway Drive ) and a live album. With his band, Deez Nuts , which was initially founded as a music project , he produced a demo, an EP and five studio albums.

Peters is a staunch vegan . Together with Ahren Stringer from The Amity Affliction , Peters started a clothing collection called One Love Apparel .
