The Jabelsche See or Jabel is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania about ten kilometers west of Waren (Müritz) . The body of water belongs entirely to the Jabel municipality .

The lake is a maximum of 3940 meters long and 1300 meters wide. The canal connection to the Kölpinsee is a maximum of 1.5 meters deep and densely forested on both sides. Approximately in the middle of the lake there is a shoal of less than a meter of water, which is marked by tons. In other places the lake is up to 15 meters deep. It is a typical elongated glacial channel lake with a pronounced central basin . It was formed during the most recent, the Vistula Ice Age . The tributary from Loppiner See flows into the northwest and the Grenzgraben and the tributary from Mühlensee flow into the northeast. The outflow of the lake in the south drains to the Kölpinsee . The lake shore is forested in the southern part. This is also where the Damerower Werder peninsula is located , on which there is a bison enclosure near the town of Damerow . The southern shore of the lake and the peninsula are in the Damerower Werder nature reserve. To the east of the lake there are the small lakes Vorderer and Hinterer Kargowsee , which are connected to Jabelschen See by narrow ditches. The Parchim – Neubrandenburg railway line runs through Jabel on the north bank of the lake . On the west bank is the Marina Maribell with holiday home complex and restaurants.
