Jacek Majchrowski (2008)

Jacek Maria Majchrowski (born January 13, 1947 in Sosnowiec ) is a Polish lawyer , politician and professor at the Jagiellonian University .

Majchrowski belongs to the Federation of the Democratic Left and has been city president ( prezydent miasta ) of the city of Krakow since November 19, 2002 . In the city president election in October 2018, he was able to prevail in the runoff election with 61.9% of the votes against the PiS candidate Małgorzata Wassermann.
