Jacek Mencel (born May 14, 1966 in Ostrzeszów , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .

Until 1990, the offensive player Mencel was in the service of the Polish clubs Ślęza Wrocław , Olimpia Poznań and Pogoń Stettin . With the looming German reunification , Mencel moved to the GDR club 1. FC Union Berlin , for which he made his debut in the second-class league on March 10, 1990 . In this Mencel completed 30 games in two seasons, scoring 15 goals for 1. FC Union, which was incorporated into the third-class NOFV league after reunification . In this Mencel completed another 75 games for Union, in which he scored 49 goals.

In 1994 Mencel first moved to the second division, relegated Tennis Borussia Berlin, in the newly created regional league , but was loaned to the second division Hansa Rostock soon after the start of the season . Between November 4, 1994 and June 11, 1995 Mencel then completed 21 games for the Hanseatic League, in which he had six goals in the promotion to the Bundesliga achieved at the end of the 1994/95 season .

For the 1995/96 season Mencel did not return to Tennis Borussia and was instead transferred to the second division club FSV Zwickau . Mencel played for Zwickau 27 times in the second-highest German division, scoring five goals before ending his active career in 1997.
