Jacinta Sandiford

Jacinta Sandiford ( Jacinta Sandiford Amador; born April 9, 1932 in Durán ; † January 3, 1987 ) was an Ecuadorian high jumper .

In 1951 she won the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires and the Juegos Bolivarianos . She remained the only gold athlete in Ecuador at the Pan American Games for 20 years. She ended her career soon after due to an illness.
