Jack D. Hunter

Jack D. Hunter (born June 4, 1921 in Hamilton , Ohio - † April 13, 2009 in St. Augustine , Florida ) was an American author .

Life

Hunter graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1943 . During the Second World War he was not sent to the front because of his color blindness . After the end of the war he was stationed in Germany because he had also learned the German language during his studies.

After completing his military service, he first worked as a reporter for radio stations and magazines, and later for the Public Relations department of DuPont . His first novel, The Blue Max ( The Blue Max ), was published in 1964 and two years later with George Peppard , James Mason and Ursula Andress filmed. In total he wrote 17 novels.
