The Reformed Pastorate Ronsdorf

The Reformed Pastorate Ronsdorf is a building in Wuppertal - Ronsdorf in North Rhine-Westphalia / Germany and is recognized as a monument .

location

The pastorate is located in the residential area of Ronsdorf-Mitte / Nord at Kurfürstenstraße 6 and is directly opposite (east) the Reformed Church . Together with the church, the Reformed School , the retaining wall of the churchyard, the swing pump , the former parish hall , the Waterhüsken and some other surrounding residential buildings such as B. Kniprodestraße 6 it is now a listed building .

History and description

The building was built in 1777/1778 by the Reformed parish as a pastorate and is still used in this function today.

It is a two-story slate half-timbered house with a basement made of natural stone blocks. A staircase that is accessible on both sides leads to the main entrance on the ground floor . Above this is the characteristic little roof house with a curved and broken gable in the attic .

Monument protection

Since the building, like the church and other neighboring houses, survived the air raids on Wuppertal undamaged and shaped both the townscape of Ronsdorf and the history of the church, the pastorate was placed under monument protection on May 6, 1992 .
