The house at Kurfürstenstraße 4 is a historic building in the Bergisch city ​​of Wuppertal in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The slate house is located in the district and district of Ronsdorf (an independent municipality until 1929) in the residential area of Ronsdorf-Mitte / Nord . It is located at the southern end of Kurfürstenstrasse.

The house was in 1898 as a parish hall of the Reformed church built Ronsdorf with apartments. It has two full floors on a foundation made of unplastered natural stone and an extended attic. The facade of the eaves , slated half-timbered house is not strictly geometrically structured. On the left side of the roof front facing the street there is a gable , on the right there are two dormers . The entrance can be reached via a staircase and is located on the north gable opposite the pastorate, which is only a few meters away .

In contrast to numerous other structures in Ronsdorf, the building remained largely intact during the Second World War , especially during the air raids on Wuppertal . Together with the neighboring Reformed Pastorate Ronsdorf , the Reformed Church Ronsdorf opposite with the churchyard and the handle pump , the Reformed School and a few other preserved buildings such as a. the Waterhüsken and the house at Kniprodestraße 6 , it forms a historical building ensemble that shapes the cityscape . It was therefore included on December 2, 1999 as an architectural monument in the list of historical monuments of the city of Wuppertal.

The house was used for decades as a community hall, community office and home for the sexton . After the new parish hall was completed a few years ago, it was sold and is now privately owned.
