Jack Finey

Jack Finey , actually Jakob Frerian Christian Schreuder (* 1921 in Amsterdam ; † 19 February 2000 in Portugal ) was known as a Dutch singer and entertainer in Germany in the late 1950s to 1960s .

Life

Jack Finey was born in Amsterdam in 1921, grew up in Curaçao and returned to the Netherlands at the age of 14. In Germany he became known through television appearances in music programs such as music from Studio B , Sing and Swing , Schlager, hits and evergreens or the record kitchen . In 1959 he published, accompanied by The Hansen Boys and Girls and the Berlipp's Band , the song You are called Betty Bones , a German version of the song Closer to the Bone by Louis Prima . On the B-side of the single was The Story of Stagger Lee , a folk song originally sung in English by Lloyd Price .

In 1960 he appeared in the film comedy My Niece Does Not Do It with the hit Schade um die Rosen .
