Jack Hanlon

Jack Hanlon (born February 15, 1916 in Fort Worth , Texas , † December 13, 2012 in Las Vegas , Nevada ) was an American child actor .

Life

Hanlon grew up with his grandmother in Culver City . The freckled boy made his first film appearance at the age of 10 in Buster Keaton's The General . In 1927 he starred in two films in the film series " Die kleine Rolche ": The Glorious Fourth and Olympic Games . He then got a supporting role in William Wyler's Between the Ropes (1929), which stood at the transition from silent film to the talkative era and already had some speech sequences. In 1930, Hanlon received a canvas kiss from Greta Garbo in the film Romance .

His work in film ended after eight more sound films in 1933. Later Hanlon worked as a furniture maker.
