Hannelore Schulz

Hannelore Schulz (née Koltermann ; born January 18, 1943 in Dölau , now part of Halle (Saale) ) is a former trade unionist . She was chairman of the central board of the trade union trade, food and enjoyment in the Free German Trade Union Confederation (FDGB).

Life

Schulz, the daughter of a carpenter , attended elementary school and learned the trade of a specialist saleswoman, which she later practiced. In 1957 she joined the Free German Youth . In 1961 she became a training instructor at the trade organization (HO) Halle (Saale). Between 1961 and 1964 she studied at the institute for the training of economists in Aschersleben . In 1964 she became a member of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany . From 1964 to 1970 she worked as an economics teacher in the HO district administration in Halle (Saale) . From 1970 to 1972 she was deputy head of vocational training at HO Industriewaren Halle. From 1972 to 1975 she acted as chairwoman of the works union management in the HO Industriewaren Halle.

From 1975 to 1980 she was chairman of the Halle district board of the trade union trade, food and enjoyment. From 1975 she was a member of the central board of the trade union trade, food and enjoyment. From 1980 to 1983 she studied at the trade union college "Fritz Heckert" in Bernau near Berlin . Subsequently, in 1983/84 she was secretary for international connections of the central board of the trade union trade, food and enjoyment. From August 1984 to January 1990 she was finally chairman of the central board of the trade union trade, food and enjoyment, the second largest individual union in the FDGB. From April 1987 to 1989 she was also a member of the Presidium of the FDGB Federal Executive.

Awards

In June 1985 Schulz was awarded the Fritz Heckert Medal in silver and in February 1988 with the honorary title of Honored Employee in Commerce of the German Democratic Republic .
