Jack McCracken
Jack D. McCracken (born June 15, 1911 in Chickasha , Oklahoma , † January 5, 1958 in Denver , Colorado ) was an American basketball player . He is considered to be one of the best amateur players of all time. McCracken was also known by the nickname "Jumping Jack" because of his noticeably great jumping ability . Between 1929 and 1932 McCracken played for the Northwest Missouri State Teachers College under coach Henry Iba and led his team to 43 wins in a row and a perfect 31-0 record in the 1929/30 season. McCracken was 1.88 m tall and played in the forward position .
In 1962, McCracken was posthumously inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame .
