Jack Weil

Jack Weil (born March 28, 1901 in Evansville , † August 13, 2008 in Denver ) was the founder and CEO of Rockmount Ranch Wear and was best known as a cowboy fashion designer.

Jack Weil was the first to commercially produce the cowboy tie , also known as the bolo tie . It is a ribbon that is held together under the collar with a kind of metal brooch. Weil is also considered the inventor of the cowboy shirt with 17 snaps. He was believed to be the oldest CEO in the United States when he died .
