Jacqueline Santacaterina (born December 29, 1987 in Geneva , Illinois ) is a former American soccer player .
Career
Santacaterina started her career in 2009 in the W-League - Franchise of the Boston Renegades . From 2010 to 2012 she played for the Chicago Red Stars team in the WPS , WPSL and WPSL Elite . At the beginning of 2013, Santacaterina was again committed by Chicago in the fourth round in the so-called supplemental draft for the newly founded NWSL in position 28. She made her league debut on May 4, 2013 against the Boston Breakers , when she was substituted on for Maribel Domínguez shortly before the end of the game . On June 1, 2013, she scored her first goal in the NWSL against Portland Thorns FC . At the end of 2014, Santacaterina announced her retirement due to long-standing injury problems.
