Jacob Herman Bing
Jacob Herman Bing (born June 26, 1811 in Copenhagen , † June 20, 1896 there ) was a Danish publisher and entrepreneur.
Jacob Herman Bing took over his father 's book and paper trade after the death of his father Heiman Jacob Bing in 1844. Among other things, he published the Danish edition of Struwelpeters by Heinrich Hoffmann with Den store Bastian . With his older brother Meyer Herman Bing and the sculptor Frederik Vilhelm Grøndahl , he founded the porcelain factory Bing & Grøndahl in Copenhagen on April 19, 1853 , on whose board he was active until 1895.
He was married to Henriette Simonsen and had their sons Ludvig Carl (* 1847, † 1885), Harald Jacob (* 1848, † 1924), who took over the management of Bing & Grøndahl in 1895, and Anton (* 1849, † 1936) ).
He is buried in the North Jewish Cemetery ( Mosaisk Nordre Greavelsesplads ) in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen .
