Jacob Ludwig Mollath

Jacob Ludwig Mollath (born February 3, 1886 in Wiesbaden , † March 28, 1966 in Baden-Baden ) was a German businessman and politician (economic party).

Live and act

Mollath attended elementary school and the nine-stage middle school in Wiesbaden. Then he learned the commercial profession. He then worked for a few years as a businessman in Germany and abroad before founding a textile manufacturing company in Berlin in 1911. In this capacity, Mollath was also a member of the Berlin wallpaperers' guild .

From 1918 to 1923 he held a leading position in the official organization of coal distribution. At the same time, he worked as a press officer in the Prussian coal industry in the Marken until the beginning of 1923.

From 1924 to 1932 Mollath was a member of the Reichstag for the Reich Party of German Middle Classes (Economic Party ) as a member of constituency 2 (Berlin) . From August 1931 to September 1932 he also held the office of chairman of the economic party faction. From 1924 Mollath was also a member of the executive board of his party. As a parliamentarian, he was also a board member of the German group of the Interparliamentary Union .

In 1926 he became a member of the board of directors of the Deutsche Reichspost . As a journalist, Mollath dealt in particular with the field of transport and traffic. For this reason he was made an honorary member of the Reich Association of German Fuhrbetriebe in 1927. In 1931 he was finally entrusted with the office of President of the top legal representative for commercial motor transport, and from May 1932 he was Vice-President of the Reich Committee for Motor Transport and a member of the Advisory Board for Motor Transport in the Reich Ministry of Transport .

On May 1, 1933, Mollath joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP).
