Jacob Rörig

Jacob Rörig (born June 20, 1812 in Nieder-Wildungen ; † March 10, 1889 ibid) was a German lawyer and politician .

Rörig was the son of the businessman Johann Adam Rörig and his wife Elisabeth née Schnedtler. He remained unmarried. Rörig studied law in Marburg, Heidelberg and Göttingen and passed the first state examination in 1836 and the second in 1840. In 1841 he was admitted to the bar. In 1846 and 1848 he was mayor of Nieder-Wildungen.

From 1849 to 1849 (II. Urban electoral district) and again from 1852 to 1855 (constituency of the Eder district ) he was a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont . He took liberal positions.
