Jacob Scherer (politician)

Jacob Scherer (born April 1, 1817 in Ficheln near Krefeld , † April 28, 1890 in Aachen ) was a lawyer and member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

Life

Scherer studied in Bonn and Berlin law . From 1843 to 1850 he was an attorney-at-law in Düsseldorf , until 1855 lecturing council in the Ministry of the Interior in Berlin and from 1855 President of the regional court in Aachen.

In 1848 he was a member of the preliminary parliament . He was a member of the Spring Chamber from 1849 and from August 1849 to 1852 a member of the Prussian II Chamber .

In 1867 he was a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency Aachen 3 (Aachen-Stadt) and the Free Conservative Association .
