Jacob Venndt (* 1977 ) is a Danish jazz musician ( bass , harmonica , melodica , composition ).

Live and act

Venndt studied from 1997 to 2006 at Det Kongelige Danske Music Conservatory , but also (2001) in Trondheim and (2005/2006) in Banff with bassists such as Avishai Cohen , Marc Johnson , Richard Bona , Thomas Ovesen and Jens Jefsen and the composer Jørgen Emborg , Lars Jansson and Butch Lacy .

Venndt led his own bands and played in a duo with the guitarist Jens Christian Kwella and the pianist Pojken Flensborg, with whom he released albums. He was also a member of Christian Alvad's trio, the double bass trio The Bumblebees and the Dixieland Gipsy Band . He can also be heard on albums by Dina Al-Erhayem, Thera Hoeymans and Esben Langkniv.

In 2001 Venndt won the Danish Jazz Federation's youth competition. In 2005 he received the music award of the city of Holstebro .
