Jacob Züblin
Jacob Züblin (born March 28, 1653 in St. Gallen ; † January 19, 1729 there ) was a mayor of St. Gallen ( Switzerland ).
Life
Jacob Züblin was the son of Ambrosius Züblin, screen viewer and councilor and his wife Judith, nee. Eggmann.
He was a wool weaver and in 1713 became both the guild master of the weavers' guild and sub-mayor of St. Gallen.
In 1720 he was directly elected to the top committee consisting of imperial bailiff , mayor and former mayor , which until 1729 consisted of Georg Wartmann , Christoph Hochreutiner and David Stähelin , and led the city republic of St. Gallen in 1725 and 1728.
Jacob Züblin had been married to Barbara, daughter of Georg Meyer, room servant of the weavers' guild, since 1679.
