The Balkanov Peak (English; Bulgarian Балканов връх Balkanow wrach ) is an approximately 600 m high and icy mountain on Liège Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 2.14 km east to north of Vazharov Peak and 5.8 km southwest of Neyt Point in the Brugmann Mountains . The Coria Cove is located south and Schterna Glacier north of him.
British scientists mapped it in 1978. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after Ivan Balkanov, the ship's captain for the occupations at St. Kliment-Ohridski Station on Livingston Island in several campaigns from 2002 onwards.
