Jacobo Arenas (born January 23, 1924 as Luis Alberto Morantes in Bucaramanga , Santander , † August 10, 1990 in La Uribe , Meta ) was a Colombian politician and guerrilla .
He was one of the founders of the communist rebel group FARC and one of the communist leaders of the enclave República de Marquetalia (German: Independent Republic of Marquetalia).
