Jacqueline Boatswain

Jacqueline Boatswain (also Jacqui Boats ) (born June 22, 1962 in Bedford ) is a British actress .

General

Jacqueline Boatswain played in TV shows such as Grange Hill , Red Dwarf , Silk - Robes made of silk and in the cult Channel 4 series Shameless .

She is best known for her role in the long-running BBC school drama Grange Hill (2003-2006). She also lent her voice to video games like Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag , Bloodborne, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 .

biography

As a child she showed musical talent and attended ballet school in London at the age of seventeen.

For about fifteen years she sang and danced on the West End stage in the RSC films Kiss Me, Kate , Jesus Christ, Superstar and the revivals of Carousel and Chicago .

In the early 2000s, she was suggested to turn to acting and in 2003, after a four-week stay in the hospital soap opera Casualty, she took on the role of headmistress in the school drama Grane Hill and stayed there for three years. Since then she has appeared in other long-term series - Eastenders , Hollyoaks and as demanding Patreesha in Shameless as well as rather sinister scientist in the Mystery - Youth Series Wolf Blood .

On stage she appeared in Coriolanus , as well as in One Monkey Don't Stop No Show , The Amen Corner and Adult Supervision , which play with racist concerns.
