Jacques Bellange (* around 1575 in the Bassigny region , † 1616 in Nancy ) was court painter to the Duke of Lorraine . He is considered one of the most important draftsmen and engravers of the 17th century. His style is attributed to the expiring mannerism .

Little is known about the life of Bellange. During his lifetime he was famous for his paintings that hung in the ducal palace in Nancy and other official buildings. A few dozen drawings and etchings have survived, some of which can be seen in the Musée Lorrain in Nancy, while the paintings have been almost completely lost.

The baroque painter Claude Deruet was a pupil of Bellange .
