Jacques Calonne
Jacques Calonne (born August 10, 1930 in Mons ) is a Belgian composer and painter.
Life
Calonne studied in his hometown from 1944 to 1947 as well as with Jean Absil at the Académie de Musique d'Etterbeck in Etterbeek and in 1949 with André Souris . In addition, he trained himself further. In addition to his compositional work, he also works as a painter and is active in literature. From 1948 to 1951 he took part in the CoBrA movement with Christian Dotremont and Asger Jorn, among others .

He wrote: Métallepses for nine performers (1957), Album for string quartet (1958), Quadrangles for piano (1959), Pages for 19 performers (1959), Fenêtres de boucles for piano (1960), Cahier for solo cello (1961), Chances for orchestra (1961), Tome for two pianists and three percussionists (1962), Scolies for chamber ensemble (1968), orbes for orchestra.
