Jacques Duvall (born August 1, 1952 in Schaerbeek / Schaarbeek , actually Éric Verwilghen ) is a Belgian singer and songwriter who also works under the pseudonyms Hagen Dierks , Inger Asten and Phantom featuring Jacques Duvall .

Duvall wrote songs for Jane Birkin , Alain Chamfort , Marie France , Marc Lavoin , Lio , Charline Rose and the Runways . For Lio, Duvall wrote Banana Split , which reached number four on the French charts in the summer of 1979. He has repeatedly written French-language versions of well-known international hits such as Une Seule Larme ( As tears go by by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards ) or Je Te Hais ( Ti Amo by Umberto Tozzi and Giancarlo Bigazzi).

In 2009 Duvall co-authored the Belgian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest . The song Copycat was interpreted by the band Copycat with singer Patrick Ouchène . The rock 'n' roll style number received only one point in the first semifinals and thus could not qualify for the finals.
