Doudou Jacques Faty (born February 25, 1984 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges ) is a Senegalese - Cape Verdean - French football player who plays for FC Sochaux in the French Ligue 1 . His younger brother Ricardo plays for AS Roma .

Player career

Jacques Faty comes from the youth of the French first division club Stade Rennes . For Rennes he played in Ligue 1 for five years from 2002 to 2007 and also reached the UEFA Cup . With the Bretons he was a regular player for most of the time and could recommend himself for the youth national teams of France. The defender moved to the league competitor and Champions League participant Olympique Marseille in the summer of 2007 . Although he was often only a substitute in the league, he also played Champions League and UEFA Cup games for his new team.

For the 2009/10 season he moved to FC Sochaux , for which he played until 2011. For the new 2011/12 season, Faty signed with Sivasspor . After a season and a half for Sivasspor, he left this club for the second half of the 2012/13 season and moved to the French club SC Bastia . Further club changes took him to Turkey, China and Australia. In 2018 he was with the French regional league team US Sénart-Moissy .

International

Jacques Faty played numerous internationals in various youth national teams in France. In 2001 he was able to become U17 world champion with his team, in 2002 he took part in the U21 European Championship in Portugal, where he and his team were eliminated in the semi-finals. He has been playing for the Senegalese national football team since 2009 .
