Jacques Ishaq

Jacques Ishaq (born February 25, 1938 in Mosul ) is an Iraqi Chaldean Catholic clergyman and Curia Bishop in the Patriarchate of Babylon .

Life

Jacques Ishaq was ordained a priest on June 20, 1963 . Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Erbil on May 7, 1997 .

He was ordained bishop by the Patriarch of Babylon and Archbishop of Baghdad , His Beatitude Raphael I. Bidawid , on September 26th of the same year; Co- consecrators were André Sana , Archbishop of Kirkuk , and Karim Geries Mourad Delly , Auxiliary Bishop in the Patriarchate of Babylon.

He resigned from his office on May 4, 1999. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 21, 2005 titular Archbishop of Nisibis dei Caldei and Curia Bishop in Babylon.
