Jacques Le Cordier

Jacques Le Cordier (born March 8, 1904 in Paris , † February 17, 2003 ) was a French clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Saint-Denis .

Life

Jacques Le Cordier was ordained a priest on June 29, 1928 .

Pope Pius XII appointed him on May 15, 1956 auxiliary bishop in Paris and titular bishop of Priene . The Archbishop of Paris, Maurice Cardinal Feltin , donated him episcopal ordination on June 23 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Marc-Armand Lallier , Bishop of Nancy-Toul , and René Stourm , Bishop of Amiens .

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father. Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Saint-Denis on October 9, 1966 . On April 1, 1978 Paul VI. his early resignation.
