René Stourm (Bishop)

René-Louis-Marie Stourm (born March 13, 1904 in Paris ; † November 3, 1990 ) was Archbishop of Sens .

Life

René Stourm was ordained a priest on June 29, 1928 .

Pope Pius XII appointed him on January 19, 1951 Bishop of Amiens . He was ordained bishop on April 2 of the same year by the later Cardinal Maurice Feltin , Archbishop of Paris . Co - consecrators were Stanislas Courbe , Auxiliary Bishop in Paris, and Jean-Julien Weber , Bishop of Strasbourg . On October 27, 1962, a few weeks before the beginning of the Second Vatican Council , Pope John XXIII appointed him . Archbishop of Sens. As such, Stourm took part in the Second Vatican Council from 1962 to 1965.

Pope Paul VI accepted his early resignation on June 28, 1977.
