Jacques Raynard

Jacques Raynard (born May 11, 1961 in Montpellier ) is a French legal scholar .

Life

Raynard was born in Montpellier in 1961 . He studied law in Montpellier and graduated in 1983. He received his doctorate in 1989 in Montpellier with a thesis on conflict of laws in copyright law . In 1991 he received the agrégation for private law and criminal law . In the same year he was appointed professor at the University of Lyon . Two years later he returned to Montpellier .

Raynard's work focuses on general civil law, commercial law and intellectual property law. He is a lecturer at the Center d'Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Industrielle at the Université Robert Schuman , Strasbourg. Raynard is married and has three children.
