Jacques Willemetz

Jacques Willemetz (born May 3, 1921 in Paris , France , † June 14, 2008 ibid) was a French film producer and dubbing director .

Life

Willemetz began his film career immediately after the end of the Second World War . His first own work was Autant en emporte l'histoire - La vie privée d'Hitler et d'Eva Braun , a documentary produced in 1949 about the love life of Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun . A few more films followed, in the production of which the Paris-born Jacques Willemetz participated with his own company Les films , including several German-dominated productions such as Rolf Thiele's comedy The black-white-red four-poster bed and the Edgar Wallace film Der Zinker and playing in the exotic milieu Fuchsberger -Krimi the girl of Hong Kong from the hand Jürgen Roland .

Much more important for France is Willemetz's role as a dubbing director. In this role, he produced French-language versions of a large number of international feature films, including a number of German-language films such as the Sissi films with Romy Schneider , another Schneider film with girls in uniform and all of the Jerry Cotton films from 1965 to 1965 1969. Other Willemetz dubbed versions of international films that ran in French movie theaters from 1946 onwards were works as diverse as Topper Returns (one of his first works), Il gattopardo , Il delitto Matteotti, Terminator and RoboCop .
