During the conflict between the French king and the Duke of Burgundy ( civil war between the Armagnacs and Bourguignons 1410–1419), David and his brothers held court offices on both sides, first with the king and later with the duke:

  • Guillaume III. (called Florimond II, X 1408) was a French chamberlain
  • Jean (called Athis, † 1420) was a French chamberlain and Burgundian councilor and chamberlain
  • David († 1448) was French councilor and chamberlain, captain of the Louvre, Bailli von Hesdin, and Burgundian governor of Arras as well as maître d'hôtel of the duke and member of the Grand Conseil
  • Jacques († 1447) was a Burgundian councilor and chamberlain

On January 10, 1430, David, his younger brother Jacques and his nephew Colart (who called himself Florimond III) - Guillaume, Colart's father, and Jean had already died - were accepted as founding members of the Order of the Golden Fleece.

Jacques de Brimeu was with Marie du Bois, Dame de Grigny; The couple's children are not known.
