Jade Wilson (* 1977 - May 14, 1998 in Perth ) was a New Zealand squash player .

Career

Jade Wilson achieved her greatest success in the junior sector. She won both the British Junior Open in 1995 and, as the first New Zealander, the World Championship after beating Rachael Grinham in the final . Wilson reached a total of three finals on the WSA World Tour . She reached her highest position in the world rankings with rank 18. With the New Zealand national team she took part in the 1994 and 1996 world championships. Between 1994 and 1997 she was three times in the main field of the world championship in singles, her best result was the move into the second round in 1994 . In 1996 she was New Zealand runner- up behind Sarah Cook .

On 14 May 1998 Wilson committed suicide at the age of 21 years suicide . In October 2013 she was inducted into the New Zealand Squash Hall of Fame .
