Jae (born Sandra Gerth ; born March 19, 1978 in Müllheim im Markgräflerland ) is a German writer.

Life

Jae started writing stories when he was eleven. She studied psychology at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and graduated in 2004 with a diploma. She worked as a psychologist until 2013 and has been a full-time writer ever since.

Work and awards

She mainly writes romance novels about lesbian relationships. She writes her novels in English and also takes care of the translations into German herself. Her works are published by Krifteler Ylva Verlag or in the English-language imprint of Ylva Verlag: Ylva Publishing. Her books have won several book awards. For example, she won the Rainbow Award 2017 in the Best Lesbian - Contemporary & Erotic Romance category for Heart Trouble (German edition: Herzklopfen und Granatäpfel ). and several Goldies from the Golden Crown Literary Society, for example in 2018 in the category for Long Novels with Perfect Rhythm . Further novels of her received awards at the IPPY Award and the eLit Award .
