The hunting lodge Groß Beuchow is a building in the village of Groß Beuchow in the district of Oberspreewald-Lausitz in Brandenburg, part of the town of Lübbenau / Spreewald . It is a listed building .

history

In 1346 a mansion was mentioned in Groß Beuchow , it was demolished in the 1740s. The hunting lodge Groß Beuchow was then built between 1746 and 1747 in the Baroque style for the Counts of Lynar who lived in Lübbenau . The building is a nine-axis half-timbered construction with a mansard hipped roof . Two wings of the building are attached to both sides of the hunting lodge and a side wing is attached to the rear. This connects the hunting lodge Groß Beuchow with an outbuilding made of boulders and bricks.

The annex was built in the 14th century and used to be the village church of Groß Beuchow until it was abandoned in 1574. Groß Beuchow was then re- parished to Zerkwitz . In the 17th century the former church was converted into a stable. The building has a hipped roof . The former south portal of the church has now been walled up.

After the Second World War , the Counts of Lynar were expropriated and the Groß Beuchow hunting lodge became public property . From 1952 a kindergarten was housed in the Groß Beuchow hunting lodge. The building was restored in the 1980s. The facade was renewed in the 1990s. In 2003 the kindergarten had to leave the building due to construction defects, after which it was unused for some time. In 2011 the ailing building was bought by an entrepreneur who extensively renovated the building. In the process, the protruding entrance hall was removed and the attached and unused fire-fighting equipment house demolished. The hunting lodge has been used as a hotel since May 2016.
