history

Troyerstein was built as the hunting lodge of the Olomouc Prince-Bishop Ferdinand Julius von Troyer and completed in 1755. At the transition from the 19th to the 20th century, the diocese had the castle and the entrance gate repaired. After nationalization, in the second half of the 20th century, the property initially served as the administrative seat of the military forest and then became the property of the Rychtářov Local National Committee.

The castle is protected as a cultural monument and serves as a residence for three families. It is not open to the public. At the entrance there is the bishop's coat of arms and a deer head with antlers.
