Jaime Brocal Remohi

Jaime Brocal Remohi alias Jaime Brocal (born June 11, 1936 in Valencia , Spain ; † June 29, 2002 ibid.) Was a Spanish cartoonist .

life and work

Brocal began his career as a professional comic book artist at the age of 18. In the late 1950s, he wrote a comic version of Jules Verne's De la Terre à la Lune . In the 1960s, Brocal created his first fantasy hero with Katan . In the early 1970s he started the fantasy series Kronan for Trinca magazine , which Peter Wiechmann had reprinted in primo magazine as the editor in charge of Kauka Verlag . In collaboration with the comic author Víctor Mora , Brocal created the similarly structured comic series Arcane for the magazine Pilote in 1974 . This was followed two years later by the series Taar in collaboration with the comic author Claude Moliterni . In the following years Brocal drew both comic adaptations of literary works and comics about historical material as well as Tarzan comics.

In addition to episodes by Cronan , Taar and Tarzan by Brocal Remohi, the story Die Alptraum-Villa has been published in German in the series of ghost stories with Axel F. published by Bastei-Verlag .
