Jaime Gavilán Martínez (born May 12, 1985 in Valencia ) is a Spanish football player .

Career

At 17 Gavilán had been part of the senior squad of the Spanish first division side FC Valencia on. Rr only made five appearances in the 2002/03 season and was not used at all the following year.

In the summer of 2004, Valencia CF awarded him to CD Tenerife in the second Spanish division . In 2005 he immediately loaned out to Getafe FC in Valencia , where he scored five goals in 32 games.

In the summer of 2006 he returned to Valencia. In the 2006/07 season he played twelve games for Los Che , only one of which over the full season. He spent the second half of the following season on loan at Getafe, where he was regularly used.

For the 2008/09 season, Gavilán moved to Getafe FC on a four-year contract, where he has been one of the team's top performers ever since.

Gavilán was runner-up in 2003 with the U-20 national team of Spain .
