Jakob Gisik (2011)

Jakob Gisik (* 1979 in Kazakhstan ) is a German film producer , director , cameraman and author . He is also the founder and former managing director of JAKALE Film and JAKALE Pictures.

Act

Since the beginning of the 2000s, Jakob Gisik has worked as an assistant director and cameraman in various independent productions . In 2008 he made his debut as a producer and director with the 35-minute short film Two Minutes Risk . In 2012, another short film with the title Twice over the horizon followed . With this film production he touched on the subject of " Second World War " for the first time . The drama and emotional fate of the people in World War II have visually occupied and inspired him a lot. In 2013 he dealt with this time again for the film Destruction of Silence .

At the beginning of 2014 Jakob Gisik produced the short film Chain , an experimental thriller with Andreas Pape . Chain celebrated its premiere on November 25, 2017 .

He shot his first international feature film EneMe in 2017. The film is a German-Russian co-production with Thure Riefenstein , Dennis Mojen , Udo Schenk , Sophia Thomalla , Jasmin Lord , Adam Bousdoukos , and many more. The composition (music) of the soundtrack for this film was taken over by the music producers Peter Ries and Andreas Friedrichs. The project company founded especially for the film EneMe had to file for bankruptcy at the end of 2019, but the production companies JAKALE Film and JAKALE Pictures were not affected.

Gisik then decided to focus on creative work as a writer and director and sold his production companies, as he announced on his personal Facebook profile at the end of January 2020.

Since then he has focused again on the subject of "World War II". Filming for the pilot of the planned web series The Lost Picture began in June 2020.
