Jakob Hermann (politician)

Jakob Hermann (born February 23, 1872 in Rangendingen ; † March 28, 1952 there ) was a German politician ( center , later CDU ).

Life

Hermann worked as a farmer and was one of the founding members of the Württemberg Chamber of Agriculture in 1920 . In 1924 he was elected to the Württemberg state parliament, where he was a member of the administrative and economic committees. In 1928 he was re-elected, but he had to give up his mandate because of a judgment by the State Court. In 1932 he was re-elected to the state parliament, but he only retained this mandate for one year before the " Gleichschaltung" came into force. After the war, he joined the CDU, where he acted as chairman of the Hechingen district association and was a member of the state executive in the newly formed state of Württemberg-Hohenzollern. It belonged to the National Advisory Assemblyand there the Constitutional Committees and Rules of Procedure. He was also a member of the state parliament for Württemberg-Hohenzollern until his death. There he was a member of the council of elders and the finance, agriculture and food committees. Shortly before his death, he received the honorary title of "Economic Council" from the President.
