Jakob Kees

Jakob Kees (* 1635 in Klotten ; † around 1690 in Wetzlar ) was a German canon in Wetzlar.

Life

Jakob Kees was the son of the Klotten citizen Johannes Kees (lat. Filius Joannis Kees civis Clottensis ) and brother of the abbess Anna Maria Kees in the monastery Rosenthal . The siblings' grandfather, Nikolaus Kees, came to Klotten from Pomerania around 1590 through marriage to the daughter of the electoral bailiff Peter Pauls . Jakob Kees, whose schooling has not been handed down, had been canon in Wetzlar since 1686.
