The territorial prelate Alto Xingu Tucumã ( Latin Praelatura Territorialis Xinguensis-Tucumensis , Portuguese Prelazia de Alto Xingu Tucumã ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic territorial prelate based in Tucumã in the state of Pará .

history

The Alto Xingu-Tucumã territorial prelature was established on November 6, 2019 by Pope Francis from parts of the Marabá diocese and the dissolved Xingu territorial prelature and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Santarém as a suffragan . The first bishop was Jesús María López Mauléon OAR .

The territorial prelature Alto Xingu-Tucumã includes the municipalities of Tucumã, São Félix do Xingu , Ourilândia do Norte , Bannach , Cumaru do Norte and Água Azul do Norte .
