Tucumã , officially Portuguese Município de Tucumã , is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Pará in the greater region of Região Norte . The population was estimated as of July 1, 2019 at 39,602 inhabitants, who live in a community area of around 2512.6 km² and are called Tucumaenses ( tucumaenses ). Mathematically, this results in a population density of 13.4 people per km². It ranks 59th out of 144 municipalities in the state. The capital Belém is about 223 km away.
Tucumã is the seat of the Alto Xingu-Tucumã Territorial Prelature, which was established on November 6, 2019 .
